Terms of Service

Effective date: March 8, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Minion platform, including the Minion Hub dashboard, AI assistant services, and the marketing website at minion.ai. By using our services, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

Minion provides a managed platform for AI-powered assistants that integrate with messaging channels like WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, and others. The platform includes:

  • Free demo access to AI assistants via WhatsApp
  • Member accounts with personalized AI experiences
  • Enterprise plans with dedicated AI setups, custom training, and private infrastructure
  • A dashboard for monitoring and managing AI assistants

2. Accounts

2.1 Account Creation

Some features require an account. You may register with an email and password, or sign in through Google. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.

2.2 Organizations

Enterprise users can create organizations and invite team members. Organization administrators are responsible for managing member access and roles. Invitations are sent via email and expire after a set period.

2.3 Account Security

You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorized use of your credentials.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for illegal activities or to harm others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, organizations, or systems
  • Transmit malware, spam, or malicious content through the platform
  • Abuse or overload the service in ways that degrade it for other users
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the platform
  • Use AI assistants to generate content that violates laws or third-party rights
  • Circumvent data isolation between tenants or organizations
  • Scrape, harvest, or programmatically collect data from the platform

4. AI Assistant Interactions

4.1 Nature of AI Responses

AI assistants generate responses using artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy, AI responses may be incorrect, incomplete, or inappropriate. You should verify important information independently. AI responses do not constitute professional, legal, medical, or financial advice.

4.2 Conversation Data

Your conversations with AI assistants are stored to provide the service (including conversation history and context). We do not use your conversations to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.

4.3 Content Responsibility

You are responsible for the content you send to AI assistants. Do not share sensitive personal information (credit card numbers, government IDs, medical records) in conversations unless the AI assistant has been specifically configured for secure handling of such data under an Enterprise agreement.

5. Service Tiers

5.1 Demo (Free)

The free demo provides access to AI assistants via WhatsApp with shared community resources. No account required. We reserve the right to limit usage to prevent abuse.

5.2 Members

Member accounts provide personalized AI experiences with persistent memory and multi-channel access. Pricing and availability will be announced when this tier launches.

5.3 Enterprise

Enterprise plans are governed by separate agreements that may include custom terms for data isolation, service levels, support, and white-label options. Enterprise terms supersede these general terms where they conflict.

6. Data & Privacy

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. Key points:

  • Each organization's data is logically isolated at the database level
  • Passwords are hashed with argon2; server tokens encrypted with AES-256-GCM
  • Files are stored on encrypted cloud storage (Backblaze B2)
  • Deleting your account permanently removes all associated data

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Property

The Minion platform, including its software, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by us. The underlying AI platform software is open-source under the MIT License, available at our GitHub repository.

7.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create or upload to the platform (messages, files, configurations). By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the service.

8. Availability & Limitations

  • We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
  • We may perform maintenance that temporarily limits access
  • AI model providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) may have their own outages that affect our service
  • We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Minion is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of data, profit, or business opportunities
  • Actions taken based on AI-generated responses
  • Interruptions in service due to third-party providers

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, with notice when practical. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or via email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Peru. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Lima, Peru, unless otherwise agreed in an Enterprise agreement.
